Sunday's work party to spiff up our new shelter was a great success. Rooms were painted and made to look new; sad, old linoleum was removed in the kitchen, and plans were made to build furniture especially for the cats.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who lent a hand yesterday, and to all those who put in hours in the weeks and days prior. Thanks to all who have sanded, spackled, replaced drywall, moved heaps of dirt, tidied up the garden, and more; and to all of those who have picked up extra shifts at the current shelter so that others could be free to work on the new facility.
Here are some photos from yesterday's work party:
The dining room...clearly a work in progress.
Gary works on tearing out the old linoleum in the kitchen. Commercial grade, top-of-the-line flooring to follow!

furniture he's planning.
